  • Abbott RealTime SARS-CoV-2 Assay by Abbott Molecular
  • VIASURE SARS-CoV-2 Real Time PCR Assay by CerTest
  • Aptima SARS-CoV-2 Assay by Hologic, Inc.
  • TaqPath COVID-19 Combo Kit by Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.

Specimens received out of stability, incorrect collection container or source

Additional Instructions 

Out of consideration for other patients and our employees, we respectfully ask that individuals who meet the criteria for risk of having COVID-19 do not enter Primex Patient Service Centers. Requests for COVID-19 testing must be ordered by a physician or other authorized healthcare provider.

Covid-19/Influenza Combination Test

We are pleased to share with you that Primex is now offering the Combo test for COVID-19 and Flu. We are also now separately offering the Influenza A&B NAAT test.

The Los Angeles County Public Health Department states the following, People with flu may have a range of symptoms which are identical to symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough, sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, muscle body aches, headache, fatigue, vomiting and diarrhea. So offering this combo test could provide important medical care information to the ordering provider and to the patient.

Primex leadership is pleased to offer this service enhancement to our current and prospective clients.
